The Fishers Farmers Market and Fishers Freebirds will host local businesses and nonprofit organizations to promote Fishers as an age-friendly community during the market on Saturday, September 18, from 8 a.m. to noon. Organizations and businesses will provide demonstrations, health screenings, and other educational activities to market customers.
Applicants must provide goods or services clearly and directly of interest to residents in the 50 and better age group. Product selling is not permitted, but we are welcoming vendors who can enhance Freebirds Day with demonstrations, free health screenings, and more!

Janus Developmental Services, Inc. operates an affordable, on demand public transit system for Hamilton County. Meals on Wheel’s of Hamilton County is available to anyone who is physically or mentally unable to prepare a meal for themselves, regardless of age or income. Clients can request assistance themselves or be referred by their physician, a family member, church pastor, or hospital discharge personnel.
The Fishers Police Department manages the Morning Call Network, a telephone reassurance program for seniors in Fishers who live alone, are disabled, or home bound. The program provides seniors with a daily telephone call, letting them know that someone is checking on them and that the community cares.
